Treatment Options
Professional tattoos often have ink deposited deeper and more evenly. Our picosecond laser penetrates to the appropriate depth and breaks down even saturated colors over time.
Homemade tattoos are often shallower and use inconsistent ink. In some cases, this can make them easier to treat.

The Science
The laser sends rapid pulses of light energy into the skin. This energy is absorbed by the tattoo ink, causing the ink particles to shatter into tiny fragments. Over the following weeks and months, your immune system gradually clears those fragments from the body.
Different ink colors absorb different wavelengths of light. Black ink absorbs all wavelengths and is typically the easiest to treat. Colors like green, blue, and yellow require specific wavelengths.
We recommend at least 12 weeks between tattoo removal sessions. Ink will continue to clear for months, so waiting a little longer rather than treating too close together often gets you more out of each session.

For clients who want more relief, we offer superficial injectable lidocaine placed around the tattoo by trained, licensed practitioners. Many clients who choose injectable lidocaine describe the experience as very manageable to nearly pain-free.

We examine your tattoo, discuss your goals, and create a treatment plan with a realistic estimate of sessions needed.
We apply topical numbing cream about 30 minutes before your session. Injectable lidocaine is available if you prefer stronger numbing.
The laser passes over the tattoo. Most sessions take 10-30 minutes. You will feel a snapping or warming sensation, but numbing keeps it manageable.
We apply soothing ointment and cover the area. You receive detailed aftercare instructions to take home.
Between Sessions
After your session, the treated area may feel like a mild sunburn. You may notice redness, swelling, or blistering. This is normal and typically resolves within one to two weeks.
